Silver Palace Gamescom 2026 Demo Impresses
Elementa Games' upcoming ARPG Silver Palace was playable at Gamescom 2026, showcasing skill-based combat, a Victorian fairypunk city, and a memorable boss

Elementa Games showcased its upcoming ARPG Silver Palace with a hands-on demo at Gamescom 2026, following a major trailer at the event's Opening Night Live. The PC demo build, described by Pocket Gamer as a sneak preview, aimed for parity across all platforms including mobile.
According to the hands-on report, the demo dropped players into the world of Silver Palace during a technological renaissance driven by a substance called Silverium. Players take the role of a royal servant whose award ceremony goes awry, leading to a fight against two giant, bickering statues. The story was noted as secondary to the world, combat, and exploration.
Skill-based hacking and slashing
The combat was described as a fast-paced mixture of hack 'n slash action requiring careful dodges and parries. Unlike some genre titles where stats dominate, individual skill was reported to play a major role in success. The control scheme includes regular attacks, special attacks, and an ultimate ability that functions as a game-changer in boss fights and is not meant for frequent spamming.
Between battles, players can explore the enormous Victorian fairypunk fantasy city of Silvernia. Exploration can be done on foot or by using a mount, which can also take to the skies using scattered launchpads or by jumping from a high place and mounting mid-air.
Gorgeous visuals everywhere you look
Visually, the game was called stunning, even if the city sometimes seemed empty of pedestrians. The report stated that if the mobile version retains even a fraction of this fidelity, it could be one of the best-looking recent releases. The traversal options allow exploration of every part of the city. At a time when miHoYo has set a standard template, Silver Palace's anime-style look was praised for its intricate world and costume designs that are visually interesting without being overly fancy.
The music is stellar
The demo's music was highlighted as a standout feature. The session concluded with a boss battle against a character named 'Cinderella', who wields a machine gun one-handed while riding a clockwork pumpkin carriage in a foundry with lakes of molten metal. This fight was set to a heavy, pulse-pounding remix of Vivaldi's 'Le Quattro Stagioni'.
The reporter, who admitted to not being a big fan of gacha or ARPGs, endorsed Silver Palace based on the demo. When asked about the gacha mechanic, they were reportedly assured its implementation was in a fluid state and that player feedback was being considered. The article finished by directing readers to check the site's own fixtures for other upcoming releases and its standings for the best mobile games of 2026 so far.
