Mega Man and Lil Wayne join Fortnite with free skin event

Fortnite is introducing two major collaborations for Chapter 7 Season 4. Epic Games confirmed the arrival of Capcom's Mega Man franchise and rapper Lil Wayne to the game's Icon Series.

Both collaborations will feature a wide array of cosmetics, themed battle passes, and opportunities for players to earn free rewards through in-game competitive events.

Mega Man Collab: Skins, Bundle, and Free Tournament

The collaboration with Capcom brings three iconic characters from the Mega Man universe. These are Mega Man (Dual Override), Mega Man X, and Zero.

The Mega Man bundle content includes outfits for all three characters, available individually or as a set. Back blings feature a Portable Energy Tank (E-Tank) and the Z Saber. Harvesting tools include the Z Saber Pickaxe, Mega Buster Blast Blades, and Mega Buster Fire Sword. An interactive Mega Buster pose emote, an 8-bit Mega Man sticker, and the Rush sidekick pet round out the offerings. Rush will be available for separate purchase.

How to Get the Mega Man Skin for Free

Epic Games will organize a special in-game competitive tournament. Players and squads that place at the top of the leaderboard in their respective region can unlock the Mega Man outfit and its accompanying cosmetic accessories at no cost. This free unlock will happen before the items are officially released in the Item Shop.

Lil Wayne Joins the Fortnite Icon Series

Legendary rapper Dwayne "Lil Wayne" Carter is landing in Fortnite with a full Icon Series cosmetic bundle. The package pays homage to his musical career and best-known visual styles.

His bundle is scheduled to launch in the Item Shop on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The outfit includes multiple styles: his classic look with a flannel/tank top, his iconic shirtless style showing his tattoos, and a formal black tuxedo style with gold graffiti and a tie bearing the word "Millionaire."

The Lil Wayne bundle's accessories are listed below.

It also includes three of his most popular songs as Jam Tracks for Fortnite Festival mode: "6 Foot 7 Foot" (which comes with an exclusive emote), "Lollipop," and the 2023 remix of "A Milli."

Item Shop Availability

Both the Mega Man and Lil Wayne skins will be available for individual purchase with V-Bucks or via their respective complete bundles in the Fortnite Item Shop throughout September 2026.
