Rockstar launches GTA Online roleplay server
Rockstar Games has officially launched nopixel V, a new GTA Online roleplay server. A closed beta begins September 8, 2026, featuring a finished Mile High Club and special Twitch Drops.

Rockstar Games has officially unveiled nopixel V, a new evolution of the legendary Grand Theft Auto Online roleplay server. A closed beta for the server will launch on September 8, 2026, via the Rockstar Games Launcher.
This marks a historic move for the global gaming community. After years of organic growth driven by streamers and modders, the company behind the franchise is now providing official backing for the platform. The project is born from direct collaboration between Rockstar Games and the recognized nopixel development team, consolidating the integration of the Cfx.re community, the creators of FiveM.
Key features and technical upgrades
A major surprise for players is the completion of the iconic Mile High Club skyscraper in downtown Los Santos. Having remained under constant construction within GTA V since its first trailer in 2011, the building has been finished solely for this server. It will now function as the ostentatious Pixel Hotel & Casino.
The server introduces a suite of technical and gameplay innovations. These include a redesigned character creation system for deep customization of appearance and backstory. There is also an urban redesign and expanded map, modifying six blocks in the Cypress Flats area and adding multiple new interiors.
Visual and life improvements feature optimized graphics, better lighting, and smarter, more reactive pedestrian NPCs. A key change is native access without external tools, allowing direct integration through Rockstar's platform without the need for external mod managers.
Special Twitch Drops and rewards
From September 8 to 30, fans can earn special rewards for their GTA Online account by watching their favorite content creators stream nopixel V on Twitch. The Twitch Drops campaign will offer a bonus of GTA$ 1,500,000 and the special Burger Shot Tracksuit outfit.
A foundation for GTA 6's future
The official endorsement clarifies that Rockstar Games considers the roleplay game mode a fundamental pillar of its long-term multiplayer strategy. The launch of nopixel V sets the foundation for how the company will approach community and interactive servers in the universe of Grand Theft Auto VI. The move occurs in the lead-up to the future launch of GTA 6.
